Discover more about our extensive range of professional book services. We update this page regularly, but if you still can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to get in touch with us – we will be more than happy to discuss your needs. For all of these services, contact W&W to outline your project, check availability and receive payment instructions.
Following a thorough read of your novel or narrative non-fiction book (50-100k words), you will be provided with a full report on ways forward for your manuscript. This will include advice on plot, characters, storytelling and literary devices, and potential changes from end to end, all within a four-week turnaround.
As with the longer novel, Jill will read your completed manuscript of up to 50k words and provide a full report on all the key elements of plot and character development, language, style and audience appeal, along with potential improvements. Delivery faster than the standard four weeks can be purchased separately.
While the other manuscript assessments are for drafts of completed works of fiction, it's possible to get your work-to-date assessed for guidance on what to continue and what to omit, where to hone and where to add, and other stylistic guidance. This service also applies to children's picture books.
If you would like more than a one-off assessment of your book, W&W can coach you through the book writing process with pre-sheduled meetings set up to meet your goals.

Sometimes it's easier to do than explain. It's particularly tricky, for instance, to fictionalise a memoir. If you have a business novel, memoir or life story that you would like to bring into being in a particular way, please contact W&W for advice and price.
For those looking to learn how to start writing their book and follow it through to the end, Jill's 8-part self-timed digital course includes videos, instructional exercises and handouts from every module. Once completed, you could aim for an assessment!
